Marlon Wayans' Wild Child Tour: 23 Cities Through June 2027, a New Year's Eve in Texas, and One Vegas Night He's Splitting With George Lopez
Marlon Wayans has 23 cities left on the Wild Child Tour, starting Friday, September 4 at the Pittsburgh Improv and running through a three-night stand at Birmingham's StarDome in June 2027. The unusual part: a comic with a $1.8 billion global box office behind him is spending most of this run in 300-seat comedy clubs, doing two shows a night, three or four nights a week.
That is a deliberate choice, and it changes how you should shop for a ticket. Roughly 57 of the run's individual show times are club shows — Improv rooms, Funny Bones, Helium, Bricktown, Cap City — with only seven theater or ballroom dates mixed in. If you want to see Wayans work a room from ten feet away, this tour is the chance.
Wayans has been on the road with Wild Child since 2025, building the hour around the two hardest things that have happened to him: losing both of his parents, and learning to understand and accept his child coming out as transgender. It is not the White Chicks set. He has also had a busy year on screen — he co-wrote, produced, and starred in Scary Movie, which hit theaters June 5, 2026 and put him back in the franchise as Shorty Meeks for the first time since 2001.
How the Routing Works
Two formats, and they play very differently:
- Club weekends — most of the tour. A typical stop is Friday and Saturday with an early and a late show, plus a single Sunday show. Pittsburgh, Denver, Cary, Oklahoma City, Houston, San Jose, Portland, Omaha, West Nyack, Tulsa, Brea, Ontario, Columbus, Addison, Austin, and Fort Wayne all follow this shape. Late shows are consistently the last to sell.
- Theater and ballroom one-nighters — seven of them, and they are the only places on this run you'll see him in a proper theater: the Gallo Center in Modesto, the Fox Tucson Theatre in Tucson, Lynn Auditorium in Lynn, the Aria Ballroom at MGM Springfield, GLC Live at 20 Monroe in Grand Rapids, and bergenPAC in Englewood.
Three of the club stops are rooms we've written full guides to: the Houston Improv, the Addison Improv, and Cap City Comedy Club in Austin.
Tour Dates
Multi-night engagements are shown as ranges. Each night is a separate ticket, and most nights have both an early and a late show.

The Vegas Date Is Not a Tour Stop
The October 15 show at the Pearl Concert Theater is worth separating out, because it isn't a Wild Child date. It's Big Boy's Comedy Fiesta, announced in mid-August: a package show hosted by iHeartRadio's Big Boy, with George Lopez and Marlon Wayans co-headlining, plus J. Valentino, Luz Pazos, and Eric Blake. Tickets went on general sale August 21 starting around $49 before fees.
So: shorter Wayans set, more comics, bigger room, cheaper entry. If you want the full hour, go to a club night instead. If you want a variety bill for under fifty dollars, this is the better buy — and it's also on George Lopez's tour page.
Two Listings We Could Not Confirm
We check dates against venue and artist sources before printing them, and two listings floating around ticketing feeds did not survive that check:
- A September 25–27 StarDome weekend in Hoover, Alabama. Several aggregators still carry it. The StarDome's own calendar and Wayans' official schedule both show that Birmingham-area engagement on June 4–6, 2027 instead. Treat the June dates as the real ones.
- A September 16 show at The Novo in Los Angeles. It appears in some ticketing feeds, but it is not on Wayans' official schedule, and the venue's own event record for that listing points to a July 2026 date that has already passed. We're treating it as unconfirmed rather than printing it as fact. If you're in Los Angeles, check back before making plans.
One more quirk worth knowing: the Pittsburgh Improv is physically in Homestead, Pennsylvania, at the Waterfront, but many listings file it under Pittsburgh. Same room either way.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Wild Child Tour about?
It's Wayans' current stand-up hour, built around grief and family — the deaths of both his parents, and his experience learning to understand and support his transgender child — cut with the crowd work and physical comedy he's always done. Venues are billing it as new material, not a greatest-hits set.
When does the Marlon Wayans tour start and end?
The next leg opens Friday, September 4, 2026 at the Pittsburgh Improv. The last date currently on the books is June 6, 2027 at the StarDome in Hoover, Alabama. He has been adding dates steadily through this run, so the tail end will likely grow.
Is he playing arenas or theaters?
Mostly neither. This run is built on comedy clubs, with seven theater and ballroom dates mixed in. That's a smaller room than most comics of his profile play, and it's the main reason the club nights move fast.
Does he do two shows a night?
At the club stops, usually yes — an early and a late show on Fridays and Saturdays, and a single show on Sundays. The theater dates are one show only.
Will he play New Year's Eve?
Yes. He closes 2026 with a three-night run at the Addison Improv outside Dallas, December 29–31, with the New Year's Eve show as the finale. Those are 18+ shows.
Where can I get tickets?
Prices, on-sale status, and ticket links for every date live on the Marlon Wayans tour page, which we refresh daily. You can also browse everyone currently out on the road on our tours page.
