Houston Improv

The Houston Improv is the flagship comedy club of the fourth-largest city in America, and by volume of shows it is one of the busiest club rooms in Texas. As part of the Improv chain it draws from a national booking pipeline, filling its calendar with touring headliners nearly every week of the year.

Houston's huge, diverse comedy audience shapes the booking: the Improv programs everything from mainstream road headliners to Latino, Black, and international comedy stars, often for multi-night sold-out runs that other markets could not sustain in a club.

For Houston comedy fans, the split is simple: arena tours play Toyota Center, the alternative scene lives at The Secret Group, and everything in between — which is most of stand-up — comes through the Improv.
