Jimmy Carr's Killing Jokes US tour opens Thursday, June 17, 2027 at the State Theatre in Portland, Maine and closes Saturday, November 13 on the third of three nights at the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas. That is 40 nights in 37 cities, announced Monday, October 19, and tickets went on general sale Friday, October 23 at 10 a.m. local time — so the whole run is on sale now, not waiting on a presale. The run is presented by Chambers Touring.
Killing Jokes is a brand-new hour, and the US leg is the second half of a story already underway: the UK and Ireland leg has been on sale for months and runs all the way from April 2027 into August 2028. What was announced last week is the North American piece.
39 Dates Became 41 Performances
The press release went out with 39 dates. Carr's own tour page now lists 41 performances, and the two extras are worth knowing about if you were shut out last Friday:
- A late show at the Beacon Theatre on June 24. The announcement had one New York date; the official site now shows an Early Show and a Late Show, and Ticketmaster and Live Nation list them at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.
- A second Los Angeles night, Tuesday, November 9 at The Wiltern. The press release listed only November 10. Live Nation now has both nights.
So the honest count is 40 separate nights, 41 performances, 37 cities — one of those cities (Los Angeles) gets two nights, one (Las Vegas) gets three, and one night (June 24 in New York) gets two shows. Press coverage that still says "39 dates" was accurate on October 19 and has simply not caught up.
Four Short Blocks, and One Eleven-Night Grind
Spread out on a calendar, June to November looks like a five-month slog. It isn't. The schedule is four tight blocks separated by long gaps, and Carr is in the US for about six weeks in total:
- Block one — June 17–27. Nine nights: three in New England, two days off, then six straight down the Northeast corridor.
- Block two — September 16–26. Ten nights: Chicago on its own, then nine consecutive nights across the Midwest and Plains.
- Block three — October 1–11. Eleven nights, consecutive, with no day off, from Jacksonville to North Charleston.
- Block four — November 3–13. Ten nights: five up the West Coast, one day off, then five more ending with the three-night Las Vegas stand.
That October block is the one to look at if you are deciding where to drive. Eleven cities in eleven nights means that when a show near you sells out, the nearest alternative is usually one night and a few hours' drive away, not one month: Knoxville and Nashville are back-to-back on October 8 and 9, and Durham and Austin are separated by a single night in the schedule but half a continent on the map.

Start times are mostly not published yet. Where they are, the Beacon's two shows are listed at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m., and Ticketmaster's all-in price range for that date runs roughly $77 to $186 including fees. Expect the rest to land at the usual 7 or 8 p.m. as the venues post them.
Eleven Casino Nights, and No Sports Arena
Eleven of the 40 nights are in casino showrooms — Foxwoods, Ocean Casino Resort, Rivers Casino Portsmouth, Mystic Lake, River Spirit, Riverwind, Emerald Queen, Northern Quest, and the three closing nights at the Wynn. That is a touch over a quarter of the run, and it is a different kind of booking from a downtown theater: smaller rooms, later curfews, and ticketing that sometimes runs through the property rather than the general on-sale.
The rest is theaters, performing-arts centers and music halls. There is no NBA- or NHL-arena date anywhere on the US leg, which is a deliberate step down in room size from the Canadian leg of his last tour, where he played Rogers Arena in Vancouver and Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
The Cities That Aren't On It
The map has real holes, and some of them are big markets:
- No Philadelphia, no Washington, DC, no Baltimore. The June block runs Boston → Mashantucket → Scranton → Newark → New York → Atlantic City and then skips straight past the mid-Atlantic to Portsmouth, Virginia.
- No Canada at all. Carr played a 30-show Canadian leg of Laughs Funny across all ten provinces in 2026, so this is less a snub than a rest.
- No Denver, Phoenix, San Diego, Detroit, Cleveland or Pittsburgh.
- Seattle, Dallas, Minneapolis and the Miami area get suburban rooms instead of city-center ones. November 6 is Tacoma, not Seattle. October 7 is the Texas Trust CU Theatre in Grand Prairie, which is the Dallas–Fort Worth date. September 18 is Prior Lake, about 25 miles southwest of downtown Minneapolis. October 3 is Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida, between Fort Lauderdale and Miami.
- Two different Portlands. The tour opens in Portland, Maine on June 17 and reaches Portland, Oregon on November 4 — nearly five months and a continent apart. If you are searching listings, check the state.
With most of these as single nights, added second shows in the bigger markets are the obvious next move, and the Beacon late show and the extra Wiltern night show it is already happening. Nothing further has been announced.
How This Fits With Laughs Funny
Killing Jokes is the follow-up to Laughs Funny, which is still the tour most Americans have heard about — and which, per the announcement, has already outsold Terribly Funny's 1.2 million tickets. The UK and Ireland leg of Killing Jokes is enormous by comparison with the US run: Carr's official site lists it running April 2027 through August 2028, mostly as two-show nights, with no Irish dates posted yet. The four American blocks slot into gaps in that British calendar rather than replacing it.
