Heather McMahan's Burning Down The House Tour opens Friday, January 15, 2027 at the Baton Rouge River Center Theatre in Baton Rouge and closes Saturday, April 17 at Channel 24 in Sacramento. That is 13 confirmed dates, announced in a rolling release the week of October 16–20, with general on-sale on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at 10 a.m. local time after artist and promoter presales on the 19th and 20th. Tickets are on sale now.
The announcement landed the same week her third hour, By a Thread, premiered on Hulu on Friday, October 16 — filmed over two sold-out nights at the Bijou Theatre in Knoxville. So the new tour is the first chance to hear what she has written since the special, rather than the special's own victory lap.
One thing stands out on the itinerary, and it is the thing her own audience will notice first: there is no Atlanta date. She is from Atlanta, it has been the emotional center of her act for four tours, and the 2027 run skips it entirely. More on that below.

| Fri, Apr 16, 2027 | Newmark Theatre | Portland, OR |
| Sat, Apr 17, 2027 | Channel 24 | Sacramento, CA |
Published start times so far are all 8 p.m. — Columbus, St. Louis, San Francisco, San Diego, Portland and Sacramento — with doors an hour earlier where listed. Las Vegas is the outlier at 10 p.m.
A practical note on St. Louis: The Factory is in Chesterfield, about 25 miles west of downtown, not in the city proper. Budget the drive.
Weekends Only, With One Thursday
Count the days of the week in that table and the shape of the tour falls out: twelve of the thirteen dates are a Friday or a Saturday. The only exception is St. Louis on Thursday, March 18, and that one exists so it can pair with Kansas City the next night.
The run is built as short trips rather than consecutive nights:
- Jan 15–16 — Baton Rouge, then Pensacola. About 200 miles along the Gulf.
- Jan 22–23 — Chattanooga, then Charlotte.
- Mar 18–19 — St. Louis, then Kansas City. The Thursday/Friday pair.
- Apr 2–3 — San Francisco, then San Diego.
- Apr 16–17 — Portland, then Sacramento.
Three dates stand alone on their weekend: Las Vegas on February 13, Columbus on February 19, and North Charleston on March 5.
That leaves two real holes: nothing between January 23 and February 13, and nothing between March 5 and March 18 — three blank weekends mid-leg. If dates get added, those gaps are where they go, and the shape of the current routing (a Southeast January, an empty February, a Midwest March, a West Coast April) leaves the Northeast and Texas with the most room.
The Las Vegas Date Is the One to Double-Check
February 13 at The Palazzo Theatre at The Venetian Resort is listed as a Burning Down The House show, and The Venetian's own entertainment page carries the tour name and says tickets are on sale now — but the sources do not line up cleanly on it, so confirm before you book travel.
Live Nation's event page gives Saturday, February 13, 2027 at 10 p.m., which is a real Saturday. Its artist listing tags that same date "Rescheduled," with no original date and no explanation. The Venetian's own page prints the tour name and the on-sale status but no date at all, and still refers to her Bamboozled tour in the body copy. Some third-party listings show February 15, which cannot be right as printed — February 15, 2027 is a Monday.
Our read: February 13 at 10 p.m. is the live date, and the "rescheduled" tag is residue from a moved booking rather than a sign the show is in doubt. Still, a 10 p.m. Strip start and a reschedule flag on the same line are worth a call to the box office before you buy a flight.
No Atlanta, No New York, No Los Angeles, No Chicago
The four biggest absences on this itinerary are all deliberate-looking:
- No Atlanta. Her hometown, and the market she has sold hardest for years, is not on the 2027 leg. Hometown dates are often held back and announced separately — frequently as a bigger room or a multi-night stand — so this is the likeliest single addition to the calendar.
- No New York and no Los Angeles. Neither coastal flagship is on this leg. San Francisco and San Diego cover the West Coast instead, with Portland and Sacramento two weeks later.
- No Chicago, no Nashville, and no Texas at all, after a Bamboozled run that spent real time there.
- One casino room. The Venetian is the only resort property on the leg; the other twelve dates are performing-arts theaters, which is a different build from the casino-heavy routing on something like Tom Segura's Preposterous tour.
Both venue pages that name a promoter — San Francisco and Portland — credit Outback Presents rather than Live Nation, consistent with a theater tour routed market by market rather than blanketed through one national promoter.
VIP Add-Ons and What They Include
Several venues list a VIP add-on sold on top of a regular ticket: a post-show Q&A talkback, a VIP lanyard, and an autographed tour poster. It is an add-on, not a ticket — you need a seat first. Portland lists tickets from $50.25 including fees (six-ticket limit); Columbus runs about $47.59 to $159.49 with fees, limit eight.
A Fourth Tour, and the Cruise That Follows It
Burning Down The House is McMahan's fourth national tour, after The Comeback Tour, The Farewell Tour and The Bamboozled Tour. The specials have tracked that climb: Son I Never Had on Netflix in October 2023, Breadwinner on Hulu in October 2024, and By a Thread on Hulu in October 2026 — three hours in four years, on top of the weekly Absolutely Not podcast she launched with Dear Media in July 2019.
One date on her calendar is not a tour stop and should not be read as one: her second comedy cruise, Absolutely Knot, sails May 2–6, 2027, the fortnight after the Sacramento finale. It is a separate ticketed package booked through its own site, not a Burning Down The House show.
She also spent part of 2025 outside comedy rooms entirely, as first-tee MC at the Ryder Cup — a run that ended with the PGA of America releasing her from the final day's role after a crowd chant aimed at Rory McIlroy, followed by her apology to McIlroy and Ryder Cup Europe. An hour called Burning Down The House has at least one obvious thread to pull.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are Heather McMahan's 2027 tour tickets on sale?
Yes. General on-sale was Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at 10 a.m. local time, after an artist presale on October 19 and a promoter presale on October 20. All 13 dates are on sale now.
How many dates are on the Burning Down The House Tour?
Thirteen confirmed dates, from January 15, 2027 in Baton Rouge through April 17 in Sacramento. A March 6 show in Columbia, South Carolina has circulated on third-party presale aggregators, but no venue or promoter page confirms it, and the only South Carolina date we can verify is North Charleston on March 5. Treat Columbia as unconfirmed.
Is Heather McMahan playing Atlanta in 2027?
Not on the announced itinerary. Her hometown is absent from all 13 dates. Nothing has been announced, but a held-back hometown date is a common pattern, so it is the gap most likely to be filled.
What is Heather McMahan's new special?
By a Thread, her third hour, premiered on Hulu on October 16, 2026. It was filmed over two sold-out nights at the Bijou Theatre in Knoxville. Her earlier specials are Son I Never Had (Netflix, 2023) and Breadwinner (Hulu, 2024).
Why does the Las Vegas date look wrong?
Because the sources disagree. Live Nation's event page lists Saturday, February 13, 2027 at 10 p.m. while its artist listing tags the same date "Rescheduled," The Venetian's page gives no date at all, and some resellers show a February 15 that falls on a Monday. February 13 is the date to work from, but confirm with the Venetian box office before booking travel.
Is the Absolutely Knot cruise part of the tour?
No. It sails May 2–6, 2027 and is booked separately through its own site. It is not a Burning Down The House date.
Where can I get tickets?
On-sale status and ticket links for every date above live on the Heather McMahan page, which we refresh every six hours — that is also where any added dates will appear first. You can see who else is out on the road on our tours page, browse shows by city in our comedy listings, or find a room near you in the comedy club guide.
