Tom Segura's Preposterous tour runs Friday, January 8, 2027 at L'Auberge Casino & Hotel in Baton Rouge through Saturday, May 29, 2027 at the Grand Sierra Resort Theatre in Reno. That is 33 dates in 31 cities, announced in late September, and general on-sale is tomorrow — Friday, October 2, at 10 a.m. local time. The artist presale opened Wednesday, September 30 with the code Tommy.
The number that explains this calendar is a different one: 18 of the 33 dates are at casino properties. Not theaters with a casino nearby — casino showrooms and resort event centers, from Margaritaville in Bossier City to Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. That is more than half the leg, and it is the single biggest structural difference between Preposterous and the Come Together tour that preceded it.
Preposterous: All 33 Dates
Two cities get two nights: Rohnert Park on February 12–13 and Pittsburgh on May 20–21. Both are casino rooms, and both were announced as pairs rather than added later. The press announcement described this as a 30-city leg; by our count of the dates on Segura's own tour page it is 31, which is the kind of gap you get when a doubled market is counted once.
The Routing Is Built Around Weekends, Absolutely Rigidly
There is not a single Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday date on this leg. All 33 shows fall on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday, and only two are Sundays — Virginia Beach on May 9 and Cleveland on May 23. Twelve are Saturdays.
That is unusually disciplined even by headliner standards, and it fits the casino math: resort showrooms sell best on nights when people are already booking rooms. It also means the leg is really 13 separate weekends spread across five months rather than a continuous road run. January is four weekends in a row, February and March are paired casino weekends, then nothing at all between March 6 and April 1 — a three-and-a-half-week gap — and again nothing between May 9 and May 20.
If you are used to Segura's previous touring pace, this is a much lighter calendar. His I'm Coming Everywhere World Tour ran more than 300 shows.
The Markets This Leg Skips
Worth knowing before you plan a drive: there is no New York City, no Los Angeles, no Chicago, no Texas date at all, and nothing in Boston, Philadelphia, Denver, Phoenix, Seattle or Minneapolis. That is most of the top ten media markets in the country.
Several of them are covered sideways, which is the casino routing again:
- Chicago gets Rockford and Gary — Hard Rock's two Chicago-market casinos, on consecutive nights.
- Dallas gets Durant, Oklahoma, roughly 90 miles north, at Choctaw's Grand Theater.
- Los Angeles gets Highland, in San Bernardino County.
- Portland gets Ridgefield, Washington, just across the Columbia.
- New York gets Verona and Uncasville — upstate and Connecticut, not the city.
This is explicitly billed as the first leg, so a second announcement covering the majors is the reasonable expectation. Niagara Falls on April 29 is the only date outside the United States.
Two dates are outdoor amphitheatres: St. Augustine on April 2 and Cary on May 8. Plan for weather.
Start Times: His Own Site and the Venues Disagree
This one is worth flagging honestly, because it is the most likely thing to cost somebody a show.
tomsegura.com lists 7:00 p.m. for nearly every date on this leg. The venues do not agree with it. Grand Sierra Resort's own announcement for the May 29 Reno show says 8 p.m., with doors at 7 p.m. — which suggests the 7:00 p.m. on the tour page is a door time, not a curtain time. But Live Nation's listing for Charlotte on May 7 says 6:30 p.m., and Playhouse Square has the Cleveland Sunday at 7:00 p.m. So it genuinely varies by room, and the uniform 7:00 p.m. on the tour page is not reliable for any individual date.
We have deliberately left times out of the table above rather than print 33 numbers we cannot stand behind. Check the start time on your actual ticket, or on the venue's own event page. Our Tom Segura page carries the times as the ticketing feeds publish them, which matched Live Nation and Grand Sierra in the cases we checked — but the venue is always the tiebreaker.
Ticket prices for the Reno date start at $79.50 plus fees, per the resort. Pricing elsewhere has not been published.
What He's Touring
Preposterous is the hour that follows Teacher, Segura's sixth Netflix special, released December 24, 2025. That makes this a fresh-material tour launched roughly a year after the last taping — the normal cycle, not a victory lap.
It also follows Come Together, the tour he has been on through 2025 and 2026, which is still finishing out its own dates. Before that came the I'm Coming Everywhere World Tour. His earlier specials are Completely Normal (2014), Mostly Stories (2016), Disgraceful (2018), Ball Hog (2020) and Sledgehammer (2023), which debuted at number one on Netflix. Away from stand-up he co-hosts Your Mom's House and Two Bears One Cave with Bert Kreischer, wrote the 2022 book I'd Like to Play Alone, Please, and stars in the Netflix series Bad Thoughts.
Before Preposterous: Six Dates Left in 2026
These are not part of the Preposterous leg, and a couple of them are not solo shows at all. Listing them separately rather than lumping them into one tour name:
| Date | Venue | City |
|---|---|---|
| Sat, Oct 17 | Sloan Park — Fastball Comedy Festival | Mesa, AZ |
| Fri, Nov 13 | Orpheum Theatre | Wichita, KS |
| Sat, Nov 14 | Orpheum Theatre — second show added | Wichita, KS |
| Fri, Dec 4 | Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races | Charles Town, WV |
| Sat, Dec 5 | Santander Performing Arts Center | Reading, PA |
| Thu, Dec 31 | Neal S. Blaisdell Concert Hall | Honolulu, HI |
The Mesa date is a festival slot, not a Segura headline show — Fastball Comedy Festival at Sloan Park, on a bill that also includes Bill Burr and Dave Chappelle. The Honolulu show is a New Year's Eve one-off. The two Wichita nights are consecutive dates with a second show added, not an early/late double on one evening.
One data note while we are being straight with you: those two Wichita nights currently sit on two different venue records in our database — "Wichita Orpheum Theatre" and "Orpheum Theatre - Wichita" — because the ticketing feeds spell the room differently on each date. Same theater, 200 North Broadway. We are merging them.
Frequently Asked Questions
When do Tom Segura Preposterous tickets go on sale?
General on-sale is Friday, October 2, 2026 at 10 a.m. local time. The artist presale ran Wednesday, September 30 with the code Tommy, so that window has closed.
How many dates are on the Preposterous tour?
33, across 31 cities, from January 8 to May 29, 2027. It is billed as the first leg.
Is Tom Segura playing New York, Los Angeles, Chicago or Texas in 2027?
Not on this leg. The closest dates are Verona, NY and Uncasville, CT for the Northeast, Highland, CA for Southern California, Rockford and Gary for Chicago, and Durant, OK for North Texas. A second leg has not been announced.
What is Tom Segura's newest special?
Teacher, on Netflix since December 24, 2025. Preposterous is the new hour he built after it.
Which cities get two shows?
Rohnert Park, California on February 12 and 13, and Pittsburgh on May 20 and 21. Both are two separate nights, not two shows in one evening.
What time do the shows start?
It varies, and his tour page is not a reliable guide — it lists 7:00 p.m. almost everywhere, while the Reno venue says 8 p.m. (doors 7 p.m.) and Live Nation's Charlotte listing says 6:30 p.m. Confirm against your ticket or the venue's own page.
Where can I get tickets?
On-sale status and ticket links for every listed date are on the Tom Segura tour page, which we refresh every six hours. You can also see everyone else out on the road right now on our tours page, or find a room near you in the comedy club guide.
