Dave Chappelle's Karmageddon tour runs Tuesday, October 20 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville through Saturday, November 7 at Madison Square Garden in New York. That is nine arena shows in eight cities, announced September 15 and on sale since noon local time on September 17 through Live Nation. A ninth date — State Farm Arena in Atlanta on Wednesday, November 4 — was added on September 23 and goes on general sale September 25 at noon local time. Every show starts at 7:30 p.m., and every show is phone-free — devices go into Yondr pouches at the door.
The part most listings get wrong: Chappelle has four other dates on the calendar between now and the tour opener, and none of them are Karmageddon. Two club shows in San Francisco tonight and tomorrow, a benefit in Washington on Friday, and a festival headline slot in Arizona. They are all real, and they are all a different thing than the arena tour.
What Karmageddon Actually Is
It is a new hour. Chappelle's last release, The Unstoppable…, arrived on Netflix as a surprise drop on December 19, 2025 — his eighth special for the service, taped that October at Capital One Arena in his hometown of Washington, D.C., and released the night of the Anthony Joshua–Jake Paul fight. The material in that special is spent. Karmageddon is what replaces it.
The routing is short and deliberately lopsided. Six arena dates across nine days in late October, a week off, then Atlanta and two nights at the Garden. There is nothing on the West Coast, nothing in the Northeast outside New York, one Canadian date, and nothing in Ohio, where he lives. For a comedian who can sell an arena in essentially any market in North America, nine shows is a sprint, not a tour year — which is usually the shape of a run built to work out an hour rather than to gross a number.
The Garden dates are the actual headline. Chappelle opens the New York Comedy Festival on November 6, the first night of a ten-day, five-borough festival running through November 15 with more than 200 comedians on it — Marc Maron at the Beacon on the 8th, Daniel Sloss at the same room on the 14th, Jordan Jensen and roughly a hundred other shows in between. November 7 was not part of the original announcement. It was added two days later, on September 17, once the first Garden night moved.

The Four Dates That Are Not the Tour
This is where aggregator listings — ours included — blur things together. All four of these are genuine Dave Chappelle appearances. None of them is a Karmageddon arena show, and three of them you almost certainly cannot get into.
Mon, Sep 21 and Tue, Sep 22 — Punch Line Comedy Club, San Francisco. Four shows across two nights, 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. each night. Chappelle has been dropping into the Punch Line since the early nineties, and a 180-seat room a month before an arena run is exactly what it looks like: the hour getting stress-tested. If you see a single listing for September 21, that is the early show — there are two a night, both nights.
Fri, Sep 25 — DAR Constitution Hall, Washington, D.C. A benefit, not a tour stop. It supports the Duke Ellington School of the Arts — Chappelle's own high school — and specifically the Donal Leace Endowment for its theater department, named for the late teacher who chaired it. The school is marking 50 years. Same on-sale as the tour (September 17 at noon), same phone policy, entirely different night.
Sun, Oct 18 — Sloan Park, Mesa, AZ. Chappelle headlines night two of the first Fastball Comedy Festival, an 18-and-over, phone-free outdoor event on the Cubs' spring-training field. Bill Burr and Tom Segura headline night one on October 17; Andrew Santino and Rachel Feinstein are also on the bill, with a second stage behind right field both nights.
One listing to ignore. Our own Dave Chappelle page currently shows an October 17 Sloan Park entry alongside the 18th. That is the festival's two-day pass arriving through the ticketing feed as if it were a second Chappelle set. It is not. Chappelle performs the second night only. Buy the pass if you want both nights of the festival; do not buy it expecting Chappelle on Saturday.
The Phone Policy Is Not a Formality
Every date above — tour, benefit, festival, club — is a Yondr show, and the venues are unusually blunt about it. Moody Center's own listing tells ticket holders to leave their phones in the car. Toyota Center and Scotiabank Arena both state that anyone using a device inside the performance space will be escorted out by security, not warned.
What actually happens: you keep your phone, but it goes into a locked pouch at the door along with smartwatches and any Bluetooth accessory. There are unlocking stations in the concourse if you need it mid-show, and everything opens at the end. Practical consequences worth planning for — your ticket needs to be scanned before the pouch goes on, and if you are meeting someone inside, agree on a spot first, because you will not be texting them.
Bag policies differ by room and are stricter than usual at several of them. Check the venue's page before you leave, not at the security line.
What Our Listings Show Right Now
Ticketing feeds carry what is on sale, and they carry the event name the promoter typed in, which is why tour branding is inconsistent across the run. As of today the Nashville, Charlotte, Louisville and November 6 entries on our Dave Chappelle page carry the Karmageddon name; Toronto, Austin, Houston and November 7 are listed under his name alone. All nine are the same tour. Atlanta was added on September 23, after the rest of the run went on sale, so it may take a few days to appear in listings at all. The table above is the authoritative version until the feeds normalize.
