Zarna Garg is closing out 2026 in the biggest way a New York comedian can: headlining the Beacon Theatre on New Year's Eve — twice in one night. That's the finale of the Million Dollar Excuses Tour, which runs from Labor Day weekend through January 2027 and covers 17 cities in three countries, mixing intimate club weekends with theater dates and a December swing through Australia.
The first stop is almost here: Atlantic City this Friday, September 4, at Sound Waves inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
Garg's story is one of the best in comedy right now. She came to stand-up in her mid-40s after nearly two decades as a stay-at-home mom, built an audience on razor-sharp immigrant-family material — CNBC called her "the zany, outspoken voice of the Indian American woman" — and has since turned out two hour-long specials: One in a Billion (Prime Video, 2023) and last year's Practical People Win (Hulu). How the Tour Is Built

One schedule change to know about: the Portland, Maine show was originally set for December 4, 2026 and has been rescheduled to Saturday, January 23, 2027 at the State Theatre. Which Show Should You Pick?
If you want Garg in her natural habitat — working the room, riffing with the crowd, the whole aunty-run-amok experience — the Funny Bone weekends are the play, and the late shows tend to sell slower than the early ones. If you're anywhere near New York, the Beacon on New Year's Eve is the event of the run: an early and a late show, and NYE comedy shows at rooms like the Beacon have a habit of selling out well before December.
