Kathleen Madigan has 39 confirmed shows left on her Flying Cats & Marching Armadillos tour, running from Friday, September 11 at the Charline McCombs Empire Theatre in San Antonio through Friday, April 30, 2027 at Hard Rock Bristol in Bristol, Virginia. Twenty-one of those dates fall in 2027, and a batch of them went to venue presale on Wednesday ahead of public on-sale Friday, August 28 at 10 a.m. local time.

Two things are worth knowing before you go looking for a ticket. First, the tour is being billed under two different names depending on which year the date falls in, which is why searching one of them turns up half the schedule. Second, seven of the 39 dates do not appear on Live Nation or Ticketmaster at all, because those venues sell their own tickets. Both are covered below.

Madigan announced the tour on March 9, 2026, with a first leg of 20 dates, and has been adding to it since. It opened August 8 at the State Theatre in Portland, Maine. She is touring behind The Family Thread, her seventh special, which premiered on Prime Video on November 21, 2025 and which the Los Angeles Times named one of the best specials of the year. Venues are billing the live show as new material.

One Tour, Two Names

This is the single most confusing thing about the schedule, and it is not a listing error.

Every 2026 date is billed as the Flying Cats & Marching Armadillos Tour. That is how it appears on the Ryman's own event page, on the Empire Theatre's box office, at Tarrytown Music Hall, on the Ticketmaster listing for Charleston, and in The Venetian's own press release for the December 5 show.

Every 2027 date is billed simply as the Flying Cats Tour. That shorter name is what the Mahaffey Theater, the F.M. Kirby Center, the Warner Theatre, Parx Casino, and the presale listings for Richmond, Charlotte, Rockford, and Riverside all use.

Same tour, same hour, two marketing names. If you searched "Flying Cats & Marching Armadillos" and concluded the tour ends in December, that is why. It runs another four months.

Seven Dates the Big Ticketing Sites Don't Show

Live Nation and Ticketmaster list 32 of these 39 shows. The seven missing ones are all at venues that handle their own ticketing, so they never enter the Live Nation feed:

  • Sep 11 — San Antonio, Charline McCombs Empire Theatre (ATG box office)
  • Sep 18 — Tarrytown, Tarrytown Music Hall
  • Oct 10 — Nashville, Ryman Auditorium (AXS)
  • Nov 20 — Marietta, Peoples Bank Theatre
  • Jan 16 — Fort Myers, Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall
  • Jan 29 — Morristown, Mayo Performing Arts Center
  • Mar 20 — Bensalem, Xcite Center at Parx Casino (AXS)

All seven are confirmed on the venues' own sites. If you have been checking a single aggregator and concluding Madigan is skipping your market, check the theater directly — this is a schedule where that matters more than usual.

Two-Night Stands and Double Shows

Three engagements are more than one performance, and they are three different situations:

Durham, November 13–14 is a genuine two-night stand at the Carolina Theatre. Separate nights, separate tickets.

Scottsdale, February 26–27 is the same — two consecutive nights at Talking Stick Resort, both at 8 p.m.

Charleston, November 7 is a single day with two shows, at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Charleston Music Hall. Several listings show only one of them, usually the later one. If the 8 p.m. looks sold out, the early show is a separate ticket.

What the Routing Says

Madigan tours like almost no one else at her level, and the calendar shows it plainly: of 39 dates, 38 are on a Friday or a Saturday. The lone exception is Thursday, October 22 at Prairie Band Casino in Mayetta, Kansas. There are no midweek fillers, no five-cities-in-six-nights sprints. It is a weekends-only schedule stretched across nearly eight months.

The venue mix is the other tell. Roughly a third of the run is casino showrooms — Mystic Lake, Foxwoods, Prairie Band, Hollywood Casino at Charles Town, two Hard Rocks, Talking Stick, Agua Caliente, Parx, and Hard Rock Bristol — with the rest in restored downtown theaters in the 800-to-2,400-seat range. The Ryman, Ovens Auditorium, the Warner, the Taft, Tarrytown Music Hall, the Carolina Theatre. That is the road-comic economy working exactly as designed, and Madigan has been running it for three decades.

One clarification on Las Vegas: December 5 at the Palazzo Theatre is a single tour stop, not a residency. The Venetian's own announcement files it under the Flying Cats & Marching Armadillos tour. One night, one show.

Tickets

Check the Kathleen Madigan page on StandUpdates for ticket links and current dates. Most of the 2027 leg goes on public sale Friday, August 28 at 10 a.m. local time, and added dates tend to appear there before they reach the aggregators.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Kathleen Madigan's current tour called?

Flying Cats & Marching Armadillos, announced March 9, 2026. Venues hosting 2027 dates have shortened it to the Flying Cats Tour. Both names refer to the same run.

When do 2027 tickets go on sale?

Friday, August 28, 2026 at 10 a.m. local time, with venue presales that began Wednesday, August 26. We confirmed that on-sale directly with the Warner Theatre, the Mahaffey Theater, and the F.M. Kirby Center, and presale codes for Richmond, St. Petersburg, Riverside, and Bensalem all point to the same Friday. A handful of 2027 dates — the two Scottsdale nights among them — have been on sale longer, so check the venue before waiting for Friday.

Which cities get more than one show?

Durham (two nights, November 13–14), Scottsdale (two nights, February 26–27), and Charleston (two shows in one night, November 7 at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.).

Is the Las Vegas date a residency?

No. December 5 at the Palazzo Theatre inside The Venetian is one show, billed as part of the tour.

Is this new material?

Yes. The tour follows The Family Thread, which premiered on Prime Video in November 2025, and venues are promoting Flying Cats as a new show rather than a run of the special's material.

When does the tour end?

The last confirmed date is Friday, April 30, 2027 at Hard Rock Bristol in Bristol, Virginia. Madigan has added dates to this tour repeatedly since March, so more are plausible.

Why can't I find the date for my city?

Seven shows — San Antonio, Tarrytown, Nashville, Marietta, Fort Myers, Morristown, and Bensalem — are sold by the venues themselves and do not appear on Live Nation or Ticketmaster. Check the theater's own box office.
