One of those dates is not like the others. On Saturday, September 26, Crist is taping a live special at Capital One Hall in Tysons, Virginia — two shows, 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM, with cameras in the room. The venue's own event page is titled "John Crist Live Special Taping," and it comes with the rules that always come with a shoot: arrive 30 to 45 minutes early, expect to be seated at the producer's discretion, and late arrivals may not be let in. If you have ever wanted to be in the room where the hour gets frozen, that's the date.
The September 26 Taping Is the Story
Crist has released his last three specials himself, straight to YouTube — What Are We Doing? in 2022, Would Like to Release a Statement in 2023, and Emotional Support in 2024, the last of which he filmed about six miles from where he grew up in Lilburn, Georgia. No streaming platform has been announced for whatever gets shot in Tysons, and given that track record, there may not be one.
What matters for ticket buyers is the practical read. A taping is the end of a material cycle, not the middle of one. Everything on the schedule before September 26 — Lexington, Toledo, Huntington, Minneapolis, Rochester, Des Moines, Torrington, and Boston — is a working hour still getting tightened. Everything after is a comic who has just banked his set and is free to start over. Neither is worse; they are genuinely different shows, and only one of them you can also watch later from your couch.
Both Tysons shows are ticketed separately, and the venue says third-party tickets will not be accepted for this one.

Two Dates That Are Not Tour Dates
Two engagements show up on aggregator listings under his name and are worth separating out, because neither is a John Crist Live! theater show.
Monday, September 14 — Wayne County Fair, Wooster, Ohio. This is the fair's grandstand headline slot at 8:00 PM, sandwiched between the Huntington Sunday and the Minneapolis Friday. Grandstand sets are a different animal from a ticketed theater hour: outdoor, general-admission-adjacent seating, a crowd that partly wandered over from the midway. Fun, cheap, not the same show.
Saturday, November 14 — GIANT Center, Hershey, Pennsylvania. Billed as "One GIANT Night of Comedy," this is a four-comic arena bill: Crist plus Henry Cho, Dusty Slay, and Dustin Nickerson, announced as a one-night-only show with tickets on sale since May 1. Crist is a headliner, not the headliner, and nobody on a four-way arena split is doing a full hour. If you want the whole set, the Wilkes-Barre show the night before and Providence the night after are the actual tour dates around it.
Listing Gaps Worth Knowing About

The Greeley, Colorado date on October 10 is confirmed by the Union Colony Civic Center's own box office at 7:00 PM, but it has not propagated to every ticketing feed — including, at time of writing, our own John Crist listings page. Book that one through the venue.
The two Hattiesburg dates are not a duplication error. Crist plays the Saenger on Friday, December 4, drives to Baton Rouge on the Saturday, and comes back to Hattiesburg on Sunday, December 6. Local press confirmed the December 6 show was added later, after the original Friday sold well, with its own on-sale on August 14. Two separate shows, two separate tickets.
