The club's giant neon sign has been a Hollywood landmark ever since, and its stage remains one of the three essential stand-up rooms in Los Angeles alongside The Comedy Store and the Improv.
The Laugh Factory runs nightly lineup shows where headliners drop in between tours and specials, and it is as famous for its off-stage traditions as its lineups — the club has served free Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners with live comedy for decades, a Masada tradition that made it a genuine neighborhood institution.
